Tired of getting zapped? This trick is most commonly used on reducing static from clothing, but it can also be used on your hair, your curtains, or any other static holding upholstery. Take a dryer sheet to the material to reduce static. Bonus tip: Dryer sheets can be used for pet hair removal as well! Check out this link for all the amazing ways you can use a dryer sheet!

Stubborn grout stains? Mix a paste of two parts baking soda and one part water. Apply it to the stain, let it sit overnight and then scrub with a nylon brush. Rinse thoroughly with hot water when you’re done.

Stubborn stains on clothing or carpet? Make a paste with vinegar and baking soda. Then take the article of clothing and rinse, squeeze dry, and place the paste on the stained item using a toothbrush or by rubbing the clothing together to create friction on the stain. Rinse and repeat if needed.

How to clean your blinds without taking them down. Whether the blinds are vertical or horizontal you can clean them without having to take them down (providing they aren’t cloth blinds). Check out this video for tips on how to clean your blinds.

Fresh bathroom scents. Use any essential oil of your choosing and sprinkle three to five drops on the inside of the toilet paper roll. This will leave your bathroom smelling fresh everytime the roll spins.

3 uses for baking soda. 1. Sprinkle some baking soda on your tubs, sinks, or tile and then wipe with a clean damp washcloth. Rinse and dry. You can also make a paste by mixing water and baking soda before hand. 2. This is great for tile floors: Use 1/2 cup baking soda in a bucket of warm water to help mop and clean floors. 3. Clean crayon marks off surfaces by applying baking soda to a slightly wet cloth and rub lightly. Wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.

Cutting boards. For cutting board surface cleaning with white vinegar, spray with straight vinegar, then rinse to clean.

Removing pet odors. All you need for this simple trick is a water bottle, vinegar, essential oils fragrant, and just add water. Shake well and spray everywhere.

Removing pet hair from furniture. I bet your first thought was using a lint roller or tape, but I have two new ways you probably haven’t heard of yet. Use a damp rubber glove and swipe your hand across the furniture. If you don’t have rubber gloves you can use a damp sponge.

Hardwood floors? White Vinegar and water will clean them without damaging them. Just make sure to thoroughly remove dust and dirt as this can lead to scratches.

Can’t see through your fireplace doors? scrub it off with newspaper print or sponge, and dip in warm water and ashes- it wipes clean! Take a look at this article for other ways you can use leftover ashes.

Bleach sensitive? Spray a paper towel with white vinegar and let it lay around the sink faucet for a generous amount of time. It will soak the sink and you can wipe away easily leaving the faucet looking brand new!

Use a Lemon to clean your microwave. All you need for this cleaning trick is ½ cup of water in a bowl, half a lemon, and about 10 minutes. Check out this article for more details.

Keep your rooms smelling fresh. All you need for this cleaning trick is a scented essential oil bottle and a dry sink drain. You can find essential oils at a great discount while checking out at brand name stores for less. For this cleaning trick, just a few drops in a dry drain will keep your rooms smelling fresh.

Clean your toilets and sinks with a pumice stone. All you need is a Pumice stone, gloves (for cleaning your toilet), and a dirty toilet or sink

Bothered by bees/wasps? Hang a brown paper bag on your porch, or railing, stuffed with dry papers and it tricks the wasps from flying around because they think another wasp has claimed the territory.

Pesky Flies. All you need for this little trick is 1 penny and a ziplock bag of water and place it on the ledge of a window. This will deter flies from entering your home.
